Wellness & Nutrition

Healthy choices that help students learn, grow, and thrive.

School meals support student success

School cafeterias follow nutrition standards intended to provide healthy, balanced meals. Through the Live Well approach, menus include milk, fruits, vegetables, proteins, and grains while limiting saturated fat, sodium, and portion size.

  • Age-appropriate calorie ranges
  • Larger servings of fruits and vegetables
  • A variety of dark green, red/orange, and legume vegetables
  • Fat-free or 1% milk options
  • Whole-grain rich foods
  • Gradual sodium reduction
