Now, I am not exactly practicing what I preach here...I love going out on Saint Patrick's Day and eating the delicious Irish food served in Irish Pubs...it really reminds me of my time in Ireland. You know what they say, everyone's Irish on Saint Patrick's Day! That's what they say, isn't it?
I loved the year I attended the Saint Patrick's Day parade in NYC, even though I did miss most of the parade trying to get over to it - the streets were so crowded, and then it began raining!
We had an amazing day, regardless, as my best friend at the time and I wound up meeting a crew of New York City firemen and of course they implored us to join them and spend the afternoon bar hopping with them around New York City!
It was such a fun, fun Saint Patrick's Day!
If you are interested in reading about the life changing week I spent in Ireland in 2017, check these articles out! I spent one day in Dublin, then headed off to aRing of Kerry small group tour with Rabbies Tours– and it was amazing! My favorite part of the tour was thetwo days I spent in Killarney.
I found a pub and restaurant called The Laurels that was absolutely perfect just on Main street. They had a ton of local beers and cider on tap, they even had Jameson on tap!
Oh, and the food? SO, SO GOOD! I ate dinner there each night and the bartender was so very nice to me. He even joked one night that I should order dessert because I could "afford to carry some weight." How about that!
Ireland was one of the most magical places I've ever been in my travels...and I've been to 31 countries! I day dream about my time there and I simply can not wait to get back to Ireland!
